ATTENTION         ATTENTION

 

  A Dock Policy will be in effect for the year 2008.  All docks/mooring sites will require a permit application be accepted by 40 Mile Park.  Permit Application forms are available on this website.  The Lakeshore will be surveyed and marked out for site locations.  Sites will then be allocated as per 40 Mile Park Committee.  As it is a privilege granted to Lease Holder by SMRID, to make our area safer we are expecting everyone to fully participate and understand the Policy.  It is the participation and cooperation of ALL Lease Holders to make the Park a better place for all to enjoy.

 

All permiting funds will remain in our Park and be spent to enhance our boating experience.

1.            Dock Permit valid from May 1st to Oct 15th seasonal.

2.            Fee $75.00 per dock.

3.            Docks size will be a maximum of 5’ wide x 30’ length. All other dock size to be approved by Committee.

4.            Adequate anchor system to be approved by Committee.  SMRID or 40 Mile Park Committee make no guarantee as to water level in 40 Mile Reservoir.

5.            All dock material including material used for buoyancy to be eco-friendly.

6.            Boat house, covered docks and covered boat lifts NOT permitted.

7.            No permanent110 volt electric power to be permitted on dock structure (12 volt power is permitted)

8.            Dock must be identified by Permit Holder c/w Lot Number.  Lettering to be 4” in height.

9.            All docks to be approved by Dock Committee before permit issue.  A compliance review will be done after installation.

10.        Dock Permits will be allocated to the previous permit holder as per the previous season.  Sites to be allocated by Park Committee.  A request for site to be applied for in writing on or before April 30th of current season.

11.        All Sites remaining after April 30th will be allocated via lottery.

12.        Dock Permit to be renewed yearly.

13.        A lease transfer will not include a dock permit site allocation.  If a permit holder gives up or loses his dock permit for any reason, the site will be re-allocated via lottery.

14.        All docks and boat lifts to be removed from below dam elevation and stored at an approved above dam elevation site by October 15th.

15.        The weekend prior to October 15th, the Park will make available park equipment to assist in removal of docks.

16.        No equipment allowed below top of dam for dock removal.

17.        All docks to be installed/removed via boat launch.

18.        All docks not removed by October 15th annually will then be removed by Park Committee Order.  The cost of removal will be paid by dock permit holder at a cost of 110% of all charges.  Park will not be responsible for any damage or claim caused by Park Committee Order.

19.        Any Violation of Dock Policy will be cause for loss of present and future renewal of Dock Permits.

20.        There will be a limit of 80 Dock Permits issued.

21.        Park Committee encourages multiply dock usage.

22.        Dock Permit Holder realizes that from time to time changes will and can be made to Dock Policy by Park Committee.  Such changes will be binding by Dock Permit Holder.

23.        Park Committee has final say in accordance to Dock Policy.  All Dock Permits are binding to Lease Lot Holder.

24.        Park Committee has the right to terminate/cancel dock permits at anytime and at their discretion for any reason.

Once your application has been accepted you may procede to install your dock as per the following information.

You will not receive any documentation from the Park until you have your dock installed and inspected.
