It is with great sadness that 40 mile park announce the passing of
the park manager Rob Fyke.
Rob had only been employed with the park for the past year, but showed great dedication, determination
and the desire to make the park a better place for all.
He will be missed dearly but never forgotten.
The 40 Mile Park Committee
FYKE Robert “Rob” John Ross Fyke of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2009 of a heart attack at the young age of 41 years. He leaves to cherish his memory
a beautiful daughter, Dannica Candice Lyn McKim (Fyke), whom he loved dearly; his fiancé Renee Dube
and her son Aaron Slobodin; his parents, Dona and John Fyke; two sisters, Kendy (Tim) Elliott, and Danielle Fyke (Mike Bobowski);
one niece, Jordyn Elliott and a nephew Taylor Elliott; his aunts and uncles, Verna (Ken) Pollock, Ron (Deb) Remus, Darlene
Renner (Lyle Weis) as well as many cousins and close friends. He was predeceased by his beloved oldest sister, Jolaine just
three short months on August 16; both sets of grandparents Ross and Myrtle Fyke, Herb and Bertha Remus and an uncle Terry
Renner. At the time of his passing, Rob was employed as Park Manager at 40 Mile
Park and Recreation. He also worked for the Medicine Hat Stampede Board, University of Saskatoon,
University
of Lethbridge, Medicine Hat Lodge and the Callaghan Inn. His passion was his music! He was the
drummer in the band “Cold Shot”. Rob will be best remembered for his zest for life, and missed for his infectious
personality and the love for his family. The funeral service was held at the Holy Family Parish on Friday, November 27, 2009 with Rev. Dr. Shane P. Andrus
officiating. In lieu of flowers, family asked that as an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart and
Stroke Foundation of Alberta Rm 124 Professional Building 430

We are very sorry to report that Anne Mary Janzer of Medicine Hat passed away on Friday, September
4, 2009, at the age of 82 years. She was the beloved mother of Cliff, Pat and Mike Janzer of 40 Mile Park.

Mile Park and sister of Rob Fyke, 40 Mile Park Manager, on August 16, 2009 in the Medicine Hat Hospital.

We received very sad news that Gerhardt (George) Martens, brother of Jake Martens passed away on November
4, 2009 from a stroke in his home in Bolivia. Gerhardt was the assistant to Jake Martens at 40 Mile Park. The
two of them did an exceptional job of looking after our Park. He will be missed.
