Our Mission Our park and recreation area is here to serve all of your outdoor recreation requirements. Over the years we have taken our guests away from the stress of everyday life and created a relaxing and fun summer getaway. We are committed to creating a recreation area where the whole family can enjoy outdoor activities such as boating, waterskiing, fishing, camping and all that goes with it.   Don't forget us for those family reunions! Our History The 40 Mile Park was created  by Volunteers responding to SMRID to create Recreation for area for the Public and to support a cottage environment for Leaseholders.  This was part of an agreement the SMRID with the Government to fund their much needed reservoir.  The SMRID put forth a major effort in developing the original infrastucture.  January 1, 2010 the Park was taken over by the County of 40 Mile No. 8 and is presently run  by them.
